Things to know about breast implants
The lifetime of the implants is on average 10 years.
It is recommended by Dr. ANKRI Alain to perform a mammography or an ultrasound control every 2 years to evaluate the state of wear of the prosthesis.
In the event of rupture of the prosthesis, it is not necessary to take action urgently but the patient should think on changing the implants within the 2 or 3 months following the rupture.
Pregnancy is perfectly possible as well as breastfeeding, but Dr ANKRI Alain recommend avoiding pregnancy during the year following the placement of breast implants.
There is no risk of developing breast cancer, or increasing the risk of developing this type of cancer after breast prosthesis operation.
