The procedure is performed under general anaesthesia and requires 24 hours of hospitalisation.

In some cases an outpatient hospitaliation can be considered with an exit on the evening of the intervention.

The duration of the intervention varies between 1h and 1h15.

At the end of the procedure, a foam splint is positioned on the nose for a duration of one week.
