The removed gland and fat are automatically sent to an anatomical pathology laboratory for possible anomalies.<\/p>\n
The scars resulting from this procedure may vary according to the amount of mammary gland to be removed and the degree of ptosis of the breasts:<\/p>\n
– either a classic “inverted T” scar or “marine anchor” consisting of a scar around the areola, a vertical scar from the lower pole of the areola to the sub-membrane groove and a horizontal scar concealed in the sub-mammary groove.<\/p>\n

or, in the case of moderate breast hypertrophy, a so-called “pure vertical” scar which makes it possible to avoid the scar in the sub-mammary groove.<\/p>\n

At the end of the procedure, a bandage is made in the shape of a bra.<\/p>\n
This bandage will be changed every week until the points are removed between the 3rd and 4th week post-operatively.<\/p>\n
Dr. ANKRI Alain advises wearing a sports bra or a brassiere for a period of 6 weeks day and night.<\/p>\n
